Members of the Penfield Fire Dept. arrived today to deliver important lessons about fire safety and what each of us should do to prevent fires. Students in the Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, as well as Grades 1-3 learned how to stop, drop, and roll.
Each class was able to visit the fire truck parked outside of school. Students were able to climb into the truck as well as use an actual fire hose.
As part of Fire Prevention Week students in Grades 5 an 6 are being introduced to the Monroe County Fire Prevention Essay Contest. The contest began this week and all entries must be submitted to the school office by Thursday, October 25th. If you have any questions in regards to the essay contest , please contact your child's teacher.
