A life-long product of Catholic education, Patty Brayer has been at St. Joseph’s School since 1997. She began her career in Catholic education as a student at St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School in Irondequoit. After graduating from Bishop Kearney High School, she attended St. Bonaventure University, where she majored in education. Following college, Mrs. Brayer returned to Rochester where she earned her Masters Degree from Nazareth College.
This young educator began her teaching career at Guardian Angels, and went to teach at her alma mater, St. Thomas the Apostle. After staying home to raise two children, she returned to the classroom at St. Joseph School. Mrs. Brayer is an active member of the SJS faculty, specializing in fund raising, curriculum, and the mentorship of emerging teachers. She is also committed to the faith-based mission of SJS and serves as a Eucharistic minister.
Mrs. Brayer lives in Irondequoit with her husband, and on occasion, with her two grown children, who are both actively pursuing meaningful and successful careers in education.
