I grew up on the west-side of the Erie Canal. Hiking, camping, reading, and exploring sites with historical or scientific connections are just a few of my interests. Family is important to me as are my two and four-legged children known as Chai, Daisy, and Roxie.
I have been a teacher for twenty-eight years and absolutely love my vocation as a teacher. Since childhood I have attended Catholic elementary and high schools. My educational journey continued at Nazareth College, where I earned a Bachelors in Arts degree majoring in history and elementary education, as well as a Masters of Science degree in Reading/ Literacy. I am a lifelong learner and try to instill this quality in my students. As my journey continued, it led to the University of Rochester. While at the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester, I continued my thirst for knowledge and received an advanced certificate in Catholic School Building Leadership. Even today I continue to expand my understanding and knowledge to address the individual needs and interests of my students.
