Kindergarteners make holiday cards for nursing home residents and homeless shelters. Children create greeting cards for the Veterans Outreach Center and religious book marks for the prison ministry of the church. There is a collection of mittens and gloves donated to the children of Bethany House during the month of December.
First graders create holiday decorations in November and March for residents of the Friendly Home Nursing Home.
Second graders bake pies for the Open Door Mission.
Third graders contribute clothing, toys, and other necessities to the parish-wide collection during Advent, to be donated to a gift distribution at our city sister parish to families in need.
Fourth graders organized a collection of gently used blankets for the Humane Society of Rochester as well as collected items for for Mercy House during Advent with the sixth graders.
Fifth graders organize and collect food items that provide a special Thanksgiving dinner and pantry items to a Saint Joseph School family in need.
